Teymour Pourcines

Director

Teymour Pourcines is a French-Egyptian artist and filmmaker based in Cairo. He studied Fine Arts at the Rhode Island School of Design, animation at Sheridan College, and holds a BA in TV/Film Production from the University of Westminster. Working at the intersection of docufiction and experimental narrative, his practice blends lived reality with heightened psychological states.

“Es7a Ya Nayem” marks his debut film as a director.

Ashraf Shenouda is an artistic philosopher, entrepreneur, investor, and lifelong champion of the arts. He has founded and supported a range of cultural initiatives, most notably DIDASKALIA ALEXANDRIAS, which nurtures philosophical and spiritual learning through artistic practice and youth theatre.

Oloufana embodies Ashraf’s belief in cinema as a powerful meeting point for ideas, creativity, and community. His debut film, Metanoya, which he created, co-wrote, and produced, received the Best Directing/Production Award at the Cap Spartel International Film Festival in April 2026.

Metanoya was born from a personal quest to explore the space between doubt and belief—a moment of rupture that becomes the beginning of transformation. Written, shot, and produced independently, the film is a reflection of our belief in cinema as a tool for deep philosophical and emotional exploration. It represents the first chapter in Oloufana’s ongoing journey to tell stories that challenge, inspire, and connect.
